Last week someone told me “I upgraded to Pretty Prompt Pro because I needed a repository for all my prompts”. This was a wake up call, as we didn’t think the Prompt Library would be such an important feature to have.

Turns out it is 💪. Today we release 6 new updates that make your Prompt Library a Super Prompt Library.

6 new updates to help you save, manage and iterate on your prompts:
Long Prompts and version control
Iterating over long, complex prompts is messy. How do you keep track of changes? Which version was the good one you ended up using? How do you keep up with the sections of the prompt?
We are introducing a structural breakdown for your saved prompts, so you’ll be able to jump to a specific section in a click, rather than having to read through the whole prompt to know what’s changed.
Now, when you iterate on a prompt, the system breaks it down into distinct sections and highlights exactly what has changed.
Think of it as a “diff” view, similar to how GitHub tracks code changes. You’ll see clear explanations for every version of your prompt, making it easier to track what’s changed over time.

JSON Prompts
You can now turn any prompt into JSON in a click.
Just go to the prompt (whether it’s a new one or a saved one in your library), click on the “View as” dropdown and select JSON or Text to switch between the two.
JSON prompts are particularly powerful for video an image creation. (If you work with images, check out the Image to Prompt feature).
Attach notes to your saved prompts
Alongside this, we’ve added the ability to attach notes directly to your saved prompts.
Go to the Prompt Properties, and add any notes you want. These get saved as metadata, and you will be able to see them on your library.
Makes it much easier to understand what a prompt is about, and any additional information you want to add to it. (You can add a lot of additional metadata as well.)
Save prompts/skills from any website
Say you found a good prompt on X, or LinkedIn, or someone sent you an article and you found a prompt you want to test later… You can now highlight any text on any page, right-click, and save it straight to your Prompt Library.
And it works on ANY website, as long as you’ve got the Pretty Prompt Extension installed.
Export saved prompts from a single folder
You can now select if you want to export prompts from a single folder in your library.
Just go to the folder → Click Export from this folder → Export as JSON or CSV
Move multiple prompts to a folder in one go
You can now move multiple prompts from your library into a folder in one go. Much easier than having to move them one by one.
Just check the boxes of the prompts you want to move → Click Move x Prompts → Select/Create the folder → Move
